You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The area of a square is
A=s%5E2=50
s=sqrt%2850%29
The diagonal of a square is
s%5E2%2Bs%5E2=D%5E2%0D%0A%7B%7B%7B2s%5E2=D%5E2
D=sqrt%282%29%2As
D=sqrt%282%29%2Asqrt%2850%29
D=sqrt%28100%29
D=10
The diagonal is 10m long.

how long is the diagonal of a square garden that has the area of 50 meters squared?
---------------
Since the garden has a square shape the sides are each 50 meters long.
---
Use Pythagoras to find the diagonal:
d^2 = 50^2+50^2
d^2 = 2*50^2
d = sqrt[2*50^2]
d = 50*sqrt(2)
