You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The surface area of a cylinder is:
(i) A+=+2B+%2B+Ph
or
(ii) A+=+2%2Api%2Ar%5E2+%2B+2%2Api%2Ar%2Ah
We are given h = 5, r = .75, so,
(iii) A+=+2%2Api%2A%28.75%29%5E2+%2B+2%2Api%2A%28.75%29%2A%285%29
using order of operations, we get
(iv) A+=+%289%2F8%29pi+%2B+%2815%2F2%29pi
(v) A+=+%2869%2F8%29%2Api

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Lateral SA = 2 x pi x radius x height
so = 2 x pi x 0.75 x 5 sq m
= 7.5 x pi = 23.56 sq m
SA includes the two ends which are = 2 x pi x radius squared
= 0.5625 x pi = 1.76 sq m
so total = 25.33 sq m
