In a standard deck of 52 playing cards, what is the probability of drawing an even number?

Step 1. Assume we don't count the face cards as either odd or even.

Step 2. There are a total of 20 even numbers (5 even numbers per suit)or 20 possible outcomes out of the 52 cards.

Step 3. Then the P%28even_card%29=20%2F52=5%2F13.

Step 4. ANSWER: The probability of drawing an even number is 5%2F13.
