To figure out how much fencing needed, you need to calculate the perimeter (P). For a rectangle:
P=2L%2B2W
In our case:
P=%282%2A200%29%2B%282%2A150%29
P=400%2B300
P=700 feet
@ $10/per foot, the total cost (C) of the fence is:
C=10%2A700
highlight%28C=7000%29 dollars

If the field is rectangular in shape, then you need to know that the perimeter is 200 + 200 + 150 + 150 = 700 feet all around the field. At $10 per foot, we know that this twon will pay 700 feet x $10 per foot = $7000 to construct this fence around the rectangular field. Does this make sense?
