SOLUTION: a swimming pool is 50 m long and 2.5 m deep and holds 2500m^3 of water. What is the width of the pool? My son and I set the problem up as follows
L X W X H
(50 X W) X 2.5=250

You can put this solution on YOUR website! a swimming pool is 50 m long and 2.5 m deep and holds 2500m^3 of water. What is the width of the pool? My son and I set the problem up as follows
L X W X H
(50 X W) X 2.5=2500m^3
----------------
Good so far:
Now isolate the W after you simplify the left side:
125*W = 2500
Now divide both sides by 125 to get:
W = 20 meters (that is the width)
