Question 197029: Find the area of a square whose perimeter is 32 inches? Multiple Choice: A.)8square inches, B.) 16, C.) 32, D.)64 But no measurements are given...If I had measurements I could do something but I guess that's what I am supposed to fiqure out right? I suck at geometry!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Remember, the perimeter of a square is simply the sum of the four sides of a square (ie add up ALL of the 4 sides). To shorten it, we can multiply one side by 4 (since they're all equal). So if "s" is the side length, then P=4s is the perimeter.

P=4s Start with the given equation.

32=4s Plug in the given perimeter P=32

32%2F4=s Divide both sides by 4 to isolate "s".

8=s Reduce

So the side length is s=8 which means that the side of the square is 8 inches long.

Now that you have the side length, do you think you can continue? If not, repost or email me.
