You can put this solution on YOUR website!
m to cm ratio is 1to 100=>1cm=0.01m
toy model of the car is 2.6%2F100+=0.26m long
4.3m%2F1.72m=0.26m%2Fw
4.3mw=0.26m%2A1.72m
w=%280.26m%2A1.72m%29%2F4.3m
w=%280.4472m%29%2F4.3
w=0.104m+
convert to cm
w=10.4cm

or this way: 1m=100cm, convert all to cm
430cm%2F172cm=26cm%2Fw
5%2F2=26cm%2Fw
5w=2%2A26cm
5w=52cm
w=52cm%2F5
w=10.4cm

            The setup and the solution by @MathLover1,  including her answer,  are totally wrong.

            I came to bring a correct solution.

Use the proportion

    %284.3m%29%2F%281.72m%29 = %282.6cm%29%2Fx.

From the proportion, find

    x = %281.72%2A2.6%29%2F4.3 = 1.04.

ANSWER. The width of the model is 1.04 cm.

Solved.
