You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the total surface area of a solid, right circular cone of a height 4 cm and radius 3 cm
--------
The slant height s is 5 cm (= sqrt%283%5E2%2B4%5E2%29
--> lateral area = pi*s*r
Bottom area = pi*r^2

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

A right cone with a base that is a circle.
SA=pi%2Ar%2As where r is radius of the base and s is slant height
given:
a height h=4cm
radius r=3cm+
find slant height using Pythagorean theorem:
s%5E2=r%5E2%2Bh%5E2
s%5E2=%283cm%29%5E2%2B%28cm%294%5E2
s%5E2=9cm%5E2%2B16cm%5E2
s%5E2=25cm%5E2
s=5cm
then,
SA=pi%2A3cm%2A5cm
SA=15pi%2Acm%5E2
