You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the area of the sector of a circle with radius 14 inches formed by a central angle of 6 radians:
------
Area = pi*r^2*(6/2pi) = 3r^2
Area = 588 sq inches
==========================
Notice it's the angle times r^2/2.

.
Area = %281%2F2%29%2Ar%5E2%2Aalpha = %281%2F2%29%2Api%2Ar%5E2%2A%286%2F%282pi%29%29 = %286%2F4%29%2Ar%5E2 = %283%2F2%29%2A14%5E2 = 294 square inches.

The area of the sector is HALF THE PRODUCT of the square of the radius by the central angle in radians.
