Question 107071: Hi - In a recent demonstration, somebody went from this
(square root of (1 + x-squared))/x
to this
square root of (1 + 1/x-squared)
They're both obviously equivalent, as both result in the same answer for values of x. Can you help me to understand how this manipulation was performed, and how these two forms relate? Thanks!

Question 108456: Use Property 1 to simplify the following radical expressions. Assume that all variables represent positive real numbers.
Square root 72x^3
This is what I have. (I don't know how to make the square root sign here, so that is why it is typed out).
Square Root 72^3=Square Root 36 X Square Root 2 X Square Root of x^2 X Square Root of x.
This becomes 6 times the Sqare Root of 2 X Square Root of x^2 X Square Root x
I am not sure if I am heading in the correct direction. The textbook is very vague. Can you assist me on this?
