You can square both sides
+x+=+x%5E%282k%29+
Note that this is:
+x%5E1+=+x%5E%282k%29+
+1+=+2k+
+k+=+1%2F2+
So, I can now say:
+sqrt%28x%29+=+x%5E%281%2F2%29+
And, to prove it, you can square both sides again
+x%5E1+=+x%5E%28+2%2A%281%2F2%29%29+
+x%5E1+=+x%5E1+
