Multiply both sides by 14 (to remove all fractions)
7x%5E2%2B4=-4x
7x%5E2%2B4x%2B4=0
Using the quadratic formula the discriminant b%5E2-4ac=4%5E2-4%2A7%2A4=16-112=-96is negative so the equation has no real roots.
