Question 325418: Solve the radical equation and explain how you got the answer:
(squareroot symbol over x+8) = (square root symbol x-4) +2
I only put in parenthesis to show that the squareroot symbol isn't over +2
Thanks!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(squareroot symbol over x+8) = (square root symbol x-4) +2
sqrt%28x%2B8%29+=+sqrt%28x-4%29+%2B+2
Square both sides
x%2B8+=+%28x-4%29+%2B+4sqrt%28x-4%29+%2B+4
x%2B8+=+x+%2B+4sqrt%28x-4%29
8+=+4sqrt%28x-4%29
2+=+sqrt%28x-4%29
x-4 = 4
x = 8
