Radius of a sphere. The radius of a sphere is given by the formula r =(0.75/pi)^1/3.
Where V is its volume. Find the radius of a spherical tank that has a volume of 32pi cubic meters.
:
I think the equation should be r = (0.75V/pi)^1/3.
:
Replace V with 32pi
:
r = (0.75(32pi)/pi)^1/3.
:
Multiply 32 by .75, cancel pi
r = 24^1/3
r = 2.8845 inches is the radius
:
:
Check by finding the volume
V = %284%2F3%29%2Api%2Ar%5E3
V = %284%2F3%29%2Api%2A2.8845%5E3
V = 100.53 which is 32*pi
