27 is 3*3*3
Since this is the square root it requires that you have two of the same number underneath the radical for it to come out.
We take out one 3 and leave one 3 behind.
Any number that is pulled out is then to be mulipty.The square root of 27 could also be expressed as 3 times the square root of 3.
This is the simiplest form of the problem.
