Question 109581: I am taking on-line classes through Axia College University of Phoenix I print off my math chapter materials so I do not have ISBN #.
My question is this:
The kinetic energy of a particle of mass m is found by taking one-half of the product of the mass(m)and the square of the velocity(v). Write an expression an expression for the kinetic energy of a particle.
I am not sure where to begin on this one, All I have been able to do is this: 1/2(m) + (v)^ I do not think this is correct. I would greatly appreciate any help with this one.

My answer for this is: +3/-3

Question 111384: Hi, I seem to be stuck on a problem I can only get so far on this, I would appreciate your help please. Here is the question; Business and Finance. The Randolphs used 12 more gallons of fuel oil in October than in September and twice as much oil in November as in September. If they used 132 gal for the 3 months, how much was used during each month?
I know that evenly the 3 months used 44 gal of oil fuel, but trying to figure this out is probably so simple but I keep confusing myself on this for some reason. Any help would be appreciated.

Problem is: 6x-1/5 - 2x/3 = 3
what i have so far is this; 3(6x-1)-5*2x/5*3=3
3(6x-1)-10x/5*3=3
(3*6x-3)-10x/5*3=3
(18x-3)-10x/5*3=3
I am not sure if I am on the right track with this one,I would appreciate your help please,
