: I am stuck on evaluate an algebraic expression on a self check problem; If r= 2, s=-5,and t=3, evaluate: from the book Intermediate Algebra by alan S. Tussy and R.David Gutafson, Thomson/Brooks/cole. Chapter 1 page 30 a review on basic algebra. I try following the example 12, but the approach is different. Could you help me. Evaluate what? You gave us the value of some variables, but no expression to
evaluate. In general, we don't have access to your book, and with used copies
starting at 85 bucks... Well, you get the picture.
Re-post with a specific problem.
In the meantime, the process of evaluating an expression for given values of
variables is always the same. Substitute the values given and do the
arithmetic.
