= 24 -[3*(7/2) + 5*(9/4)]
= 24 -[(21/2) + (45/4)]
= 24 -[(42/4)+(45/4)]
= 24 -[87/4]
= (96/4)-(87/4)
= 9/4
= 2 1/4 yrds.
