Question 999996: The question reads Tell whether each sequence is an arithmetic sequence. If it is,find the common difference.
The sequence reads: 3, 5, 8, 12, 17,...
I know the sequence is +2, +3, +4, +5 but is there a way to write this as an "arithmetic sequence". All of the others were easy like "+2, -4" etc...but this oneis a bit confusing.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Is there a way to write a sequence as an arithmetic sequence if it is not an arithmetic sequence?

Review the definition of Arithmetic Sequence and think about what you asked, logically.
