How do you tell which number is the smallest when they are in fractions?
Two ways.
1) Make them a decimal using a calculator. Example: 2%2F11=0.18181823%2F16=0.1875 so 2%2F11%3C3%2F16
2) Make them fractions with the same denominator, then compare.
Example: 31%2F64 49%2F100 Common denominator=1600
31%2F64=+775%2F1600
49%2F100=784%2F1600
775%3C784 so
31%2F64%3C49%2F100
