Is the question asking you to determine the next term of the sequence?

If so, the pattern is not immediately obvious, and even if it were, one could argue that many answers can suffice, which is why these are often poorly designed problems. For example, if I told you to determine the next term in the sequence:

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,_

I could argue that 11 is correct if the sequence is the sequence of positive base-10 integers that do not contain 0.
