Question 846982: Consider the infinite geometric series Infinity
E. -4(1/3) ^ n-1
n-1. Hopefully it turned out how I typed it.
A. Write the first four terms of the series
B.does the series diverge or converge
C. If the series has a sum, find the sum.
The series again was infinity over the E looking symbol with n-1 underneath. The larger numbers next to the symbol are -4 (1/3) ^n-1

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I think this is what you mean : sum%28%28-4%281%2F3%29%5E%28n-1%29%29%2Cn=1%2Cinfinity%29
a) n=1,a%5B1%5D=-4%281%2F3%29%5E0=-4
n=2,a%5B2%5D=-4%281%2F3%29%5E1=-4%2F3
n=3,a%5B3%5D=-4%281%2F3%29%5E2=-4%2F9
n=4,a%5B4%5D=-4%281%2F3%29%5E3=-4%2F27
b) Converges
c) S=-4%2F%281-1%2F3%29=-4%2F%282%2F3%29=-4%2A%283%2F2%29=-6
