Hi,

 1/6 + 1/8 + 1/x = 1/3         |Multiplying thru by 24x so as all denominators = 1

   4x + 3x + 24 = 8x

     x = 24hr, time it would take C alone 

A + B + C = 3/6 + 3/8 + 3/24 = whole job
