1/2 + 1 + 2 + 4 ...
Each term is twice the term before it so the common ratio is 2.
10 + 4 - 2 - 8 + ....
Find the common difference by subtracting each term from the term following.(eg subtract 10 from 4)
This gives a common difference of -6. Each term is 6 less than its predecessor.
