You can put this solution on YOUR website!
first term a=15000
d= 10% 0f 15000= -1500 ( decreasing)
n= 10
T10 = 15000+(10-1)*-1500
=15000-13500
=1500
Value after 10 years = 1500

This is a arithmetic sequence
A museum purchases a painting for $15,000 the painting increases in value each year by 10 percent of the original price. What is the value of the painting after 10 years?

t%5Bn%5D+=+t%5B1%5D+%2B+%28n+-+1%29d, with:

t%5Bn%5D being the value of the term being sought

"n" being the term number

t%5B1%5D being the 1st term

"d" being the common difference

Be aware that term 1, or t%5B1%5D represents its value after year 1, which is $16,500 ($15,000 + 1,500).

As the 10th term is being sought, we have:
t%5Bn%5D+=+t%5B1%5D+%2B+%28n+-+1%29d

t%5B10%5D+=+16500+%2B+%2810+-+1%291500

t%5B10%5D+=+16500+%2B+9%281500%29

t%5B10%5D+=+16500+%2B+13500

Term 10 or highlight_green%28t%5B10%5D+=+30000%29, the value of the painting after 10 years.

You can do the check!!
