solve the x in these equations. multiply by the LCD to eliminate fractions. Vertify the solutions.
x-5/2=7/2+1/2x

x - 5/2 = 7/2 + 1/2x
LCD = 2x
2x^2 - 5x = 7x + 1
2x^2 - 5x - 7x - 1 = 0
2x^2 - 12x - 1 = 0
a = 2, b = -12, c = -1
x+=+7+%2B-sqrt%28-12%5E2-4%2A2%2A-1%29%29%2F%282%2A2%29
x+=+7+=-sqrt%28144+%2B+8%29%29%2F4
x+=+7%2B-sqrt%28152%29%29%2F4
x = 7 +- 12.33/4
x = 7 +- 3.08
x = 10.08 and 3.92
