Why did you multiply by the reciprocal? The problem says to multiply 7 by the fraction . You can't just willy-nilly go around flipping fractions upside down with out compensating in some way -- which you did not do and which, in this case, would just make a bigger mess.
Multiply times 7. Then and the opposite of the product, namely to both sides.
