If the three numbers are consecutive then call the first number x. The number after x will be (x + 1) and the number after that will be (x + 2). To find the sum then add the three numbers up.

x+%2B+x+%2B+1+%2B+x+%2B+2+=+126 Add like terms
3x+%2B+3+=+126 Subtract 3 from each side of the equation
3x+%2B+3+-+3+=+126+-+3
3x++=+123 Divide each side of the equation by 3
3x+%2F3++=+123%2F3
x = 41

So the three numbers are 41, 42 and 43. Check that they add to 126.
