To find a formula for the nth term of a sequence you'll have to look for a pattern. Once you found that pattern, try to fit it into a sequence (e.g. a_n = ...). Once you found the general term of a sequence, then evaluate it for the next three terms, whether they are 1,2,3, or a,a+1,a+2.
