You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let A and B be the numbers.
1.A%2BB=10
2.AB=-56
Useing eq. 1,
A=10-B
Substitute into eq. 2,
%2810-B%29B=-56
10B-B%5E2=-56
B%5E2-10B-56=0
%28B-14%29%28B%2B4%29=0
Two solutions:
B-14=0
B=14
Then from eq. 1,
A%2B14=10
A=-4
.
.
.
B%2B4=0
B=-4
Then from eq. 1,.
A-4=10
A=14
.
.
.
14 and -4 are the two numbers.
