To find the inverse of a function, first use x and y as dependent and independent variables.
f%28x%29=x%5E5
y=x%5E5
Now interchange x and y and solve for y.
y=x%5E5
highlight%28x%29=highlight%28y%29%5E5
y=x%5E%281%2F5%29
f%5E%28-1%29%28x%29=x%5E%281%2F5%29
The answer's a bit cut off but the exponent should be (1/5).
