You can put this solution on YOUR website!
No see pattern upon first sight and thought.
Try graphing.
Try a log or exponential fit.
At least try differences to each successive terms.

As usual for this forum and for similar assignments, the problem's
formulation in the post is grammatically and mathematically INCORRECT.

It is incorrect, because it says about "the pattern", while a correct
formulation should say "a pattern", because the number of possible patterns is infinitely large.

A correct possible formulation is as follows:

Try to find at least one possible pattern for the given sequence.
If you manage to find a pattern, then find a number " ? ", which continues the pattern.

Below is my solution for this MODIFIED formulation.

The given numbers follow the pattern

   a%5Bn%2B2%5D = a%5Bn%5D%2Aa%5Bn%2B1%5D-a%5Bn%5D, n = 1, 2, 3.

which is the same as

   a%5Bn%2B2%5D = a%5Bn%5D%2A%28a%5Bn%2B1%5D-1%29, n = 1, 2, 3.

To check the validity, simply make calculations according to this formula.

The option for " ? " is 66*648-55 = 42713.

Notice that I do not state that the pattern is a unique.
Actually, there are infinitely many other patterns.

Equally, I do not state that the number 42713 is the next number in this series.
My number is a value, which continues this selected pattern. That is all.
For other pattern, the "next" number will be different.

Solved.
