Trying to find the missing number is a guessing game -- not mathematics.
Put any number there you want and it will be a valid sequence.
Even if you find a logical pattern that produces a particular missing number, that pattern might not be the "right" one.
The only way to know the "right" solution is to ask the person who wrote the problem.
