This sequence is an Arithmetic progression (AP) with the first term a%5B1%5D = 400  and the common difference  d = -24.



What he will have at the end of the 17-th day, is the 17-th term of this progression


    a%5B17%5D = a%5B1%5D + (17-1)*d = 400 + 16*(-24) = 400 - 16*24 = 16 kilograms of flour.    ANSWER
