You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Subtract the two equations,
2x%2B3y-2x%2B5y=11-3
8y=8
y=1
So then,
2x%2B3=11
2x=8
x=4

.
M=%281%2B4%29%2F2
Work that out for the answer.

If 2x+3y=11 and 2x-5y=3.what is the arithmetic mean of x and y?
----------
Solve for x & y, then find the average of x & y.
Average = (x+y)/2
---
arithmetic mean is the average.
