It should be noted that choice D are a pair of multiplicative inverses and could also be construed as opposites in a multiplicative sense.

Choice B is correct. It's like changing something to a negative. A is wrong since it just changes the exponent, not the base. C is wrong since it just swaps the numbers backwards, not making it a negative. D is wrong because 2 cannot be opposites of a fraction (especially if it isn't a negative).
