In this video lesson I talk about the areas and perimeters of squares and rectangles. The area of any rectangle is the product of the lengths of two of it's perpendicular sides. Since a square is a rectangle that has all 4 equal sides, for a square it is the square of its side's length. The perimeter for both is, as usual, the sum of all the side lengths. I solve a few examples to show how this concepts works. For more details, see the video.
