i tried adding various numbers as x like 3 2 5 7 and so on but i cant get any to work out right they dont come out solved

Question 926720: Well what i tried first was diving it by 2 to find half of the problem then i added 50 to it and dicided thatwas length so i put the width as 470 but when i did the whole perimeter it wasnt right so then i did by dividing by 3 instead but yeah it came out wrong so heres thequestion im having trouble on

so first i tried dividing 1260 by 3 and had 420 after that i was thinking of dividing it by 3 for the width but then when i added them it didnt come up to 1260
so then i tried cutting it in half n dividing that by 3 .... but yeah so then i googled how to solve the problem and so i found this place algebra.com yay
