the perimeter of a rectangle is:P=2L%2B2W
if the length L of a rectangle is 4cm more than five times the width W, then we have
L=5W%2B4cm
If the perimeter is P=32cm, then
2L%2B2W=32cm ...substitute L
2%285W%2B4cm%29%2B2W=32cm
10W%2B8cm%2B2W=32cm
12W=32cm-8cm
12W=24cm
W=24cm%2F12
W=2cm
now find L

L=5W%2B4cm
L=5%2A2cm%2B4cm
L=10cm%2B4cm
L=14cm
