Two adjoining rectangles make one larger rectangle. So the question really is what is the largest rectangle that can be enclosed with 450cm of string. The largest area is that closest to a square.
450/4 = 112.5cm
112.5 * 112.5 = area of 12,656.25 sq cm
The adjoining rectangles have a length of 112.5cm. Their widths can be any measurement so that the width of A plus the width of B = 112.5 cm.
