 p = 2L + 2w = 40cm

0r  L + w = 20cm

   (2w+2) + w = 20cm     L = 2 cm more than twice its width

     3w = 18cm

      w = 6cm  and L = 14cm    2%2A6+%2B+2

 6cm + 14cm = 20cm
