You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2 2/3 = 2 + 2/3

2 2/3 = 6/3 + 2/3

2 2/3 = (6+2)/3

2 2/3 = 8/3

--------------------------

"The length of the park is 2 2/3 the width of the park" ---> L = (8/3)*W

Let W = x

A = L*W

A = ((8/3)*W)*W

2/3 = ((8/3)*x)*x

2/3 = (8/3)*x^2

3*(2/3) = 3*(8/3)*x^2

2 = 8x^2

2/8 = x^2

1/4 = x^2

x^2 = 1/4

x = sqrt(1/4)

x = 1/2

The width is 1/2 of a mile
the length is (8/3)*W = (8/3)*(1/2) = 8/6 = 4/3 of a mile
