Hi,

P = 2L + 2W
for ex:
IF you have the perimeter P of a rectangle = 24in
and you have the length L of the rectangle = 8in
then to find the width W use P = 2L + 2W
24in = 2•8in + 2W
Solve for W
24in - 16in = 2W
8in = 2W
4in = W, the width
