P = 2L + 2W
The ratio 2:4 tells us that 2L = 4W
Substitute into the equation
72 = 4W + 2W
Add the Ws
72 = 6W
Divide each side by 6
12 = W
If W is 12, then L = 2W or 24.
12+12+24+24 = 72
