The perimeter of a rectangle is 80 centimeters and the ratio of its length to width is 5:3 what are its dimensions?

5:3 is the same as 5x:3x

Equation:
5x + 3x = 80
8x = 80
x = 10

Dimensions are 5x = 50 and 3x = 30
