Pythagoras.
One side of the triangle is 100 ft and the
other side is 50 ft. The diagonal walkway is
the hypotenuse of your right angled triangle.
Therefore:
100^2 + 50^2 = Walkway^2
10000 + 2500 = Walkway^2
12500 = Walkway^2
Walkway = square root of 12500
Walkway = 111.8 feet
