A perimeter would be measured in inches not
square inches.
I think you mean an area of 336 sq. inches.
Area of a rectangle = l x b
Therefore the width (breadth) = Area/length
= 336/21 = 16 inches.
If you mean that the perimeter = 336 inches
and you have a length of 21 inches then you would double
21 = 42 inches. Subtract 42 inches from 336 inches and divide
by two = 147 inches for the width.
A perimeter consists of two lengths and two widths
in a rectangle.

First note that perimeter is measured in inches, and here is the formula for the perimeter of a rectangle:
%0D%0A%0D%0AP=2%28l%2Bw%29%0D%0A
P=336, l=21

so...

%0D%0A336=2%2821%2Bw%29%0D%0A
divide by 2...

%0D%0A168=21%2Bw%0D%0A

w=168-21=147
width is 147 inches
