Cost of Company A at x day is 40x (because we multiply its rate of $40/day by the no. of days)
Cost of Company B at x day is 60 + 20x
40x = 60 + 20x
40x - 20x = 60
20x = 60
x = 3
Therefore, A & B cost the same in 3 days.
