You can
put this solution on YOUR website!
Area of a rectangle is length x width
(2x + 4)(x + 2) = Area {length x width}
= 2x(x) + 2x(2) + 4(x) + 4(2) {used foil method}
= 2x² + 2x + 4x + 8 {multiplied through}
= 2x² + 6x + 8 {combined like terms}
