Let the side of the square = +s+
Let +A+ = the area of the square
+A+=+s%5E2+
+2A+=+2%2As%5E2+
+2A+=+%28+sqrt%282%29%2As%29%5E2+
note that what you are squaring is the diagonal
of the square, so just make another square
using the diagonal of the 1st square
